Plot your organisation on the EX Maturity Path using the EX Measure… and find out where to focus to dial up your people’s experience

Is your approach to employee experience delivering for your people and your organisation? Are you focusing in the right areas to maximise results?

If you are wondering how to prioritise your in-demand time and budgets to achieve a better employee experience, we have developed a new tool to help (in collaboration with the EX Design Club and PeopleLab).

Research for the book Employee Experience by Design, demonstrated just how much leaders, people teams and managers struggle with what can feel an overwhelming task of understanding and improving the experience of their people. So in 2021, we began working with a group of EX pioneers called the EX Design Club (largely, but not exclusively contributors to the book) to map out the common elements of an effective approach to employee experience.

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution to delivering a great employee experience – even the concept of 'great' looks different for different employees. And a range of factors influence how organisations approach employee experience – sector, strategy, culture and operational model all play a part.

However, despite the variables, it is clear that four core elements underpin how organisations successfully define and deliver an effective employee experience.

Capability plus practice in the areas of focus, mindset, involvement and impact reflect how mature an organisation's approach is to EX – AND determine how effective the resulting employee experience.

To find out more about each of these elements and plot your organisation on the EX Maturity Path using the EX Maturity Measure, download the EX Maturity Path Measure. You can also watch a webinar talking about the EX Maturity Path and Measure here.

Use this insight to:

  • Make better strategic employee experience choices

  • Build a stronger case for prioritising employee experience

  • Create a coalition to enhance employee experience across the organisation

  • Demonstrate the ROI from a more mature approach to EX
